What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU regulation containing provisions on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and provisions on the free flow of personal data.

The purpose of this regulation is to harmonize the laws within the EU and the free flow of personal data. The GDPR regulation is to allow the residents of the European Union to better control their personal data and to modernize and unify the regulations enabling companies to reduce bureaucracy and benefit from increased customer trust.
