This target pertains to direct emissions from fuel combustion and the use of refrigerants (Scope 1), as well as indirect emissions resulting from the consumption of electricity and heat (Scope 2). As far as LOT Polish Airlines’ air transport operations are concerned, the short-term goal of the PGL Group is to reduce Well-to-Wake (WTW) greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and category 3 of Scope 3) from aviation fuel by 45% per ton-kilometer (RTK) by 2030, compared to 2019. This goal has been set as the objective for the PGL Group and verified by the SBTi.
